Chungnam Province to Operate 'Byeos Isshu' in July... Featuring Ppareumi and Dapum
The Chungnam Provincial Agricultural Research and Extension Services announced on the 30th that it will operate the rice farming demonstration field 'Rice Issue (ISSUE)' starting in July.
Since last year, the Agricultural Research and Extension Services has expanded the existing rice variety demonstration field to the Rice Issue demonstration field, allowing various rice-related farming issues to be checked on-site.
The demonstration field exhibits various varieties and cultivation techniques. Last year, it received great response with over 1,500 visitors.
This year, the demonstration field will showcase varieties recognized for climate change response such as Parami and recently registered varieties like Dapum.
In addition, to ensure the stable establishment of direct seeding, which the province is proactively promoting, fields for dry direct seeding, no-till direct seeding, and dam-sa broadcasting will be created to share cultivation techniques.
