View original imageSeodaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seong-heon) announced on the 30th that it recently conducted a simulation drill for ‘Prevention and Evacuation of Isolation Accidents in the Stream’ at the Hongjecheon Waterfall Square within the district.
The district promoted this to strengthen on-site response capabilities during sudden summer downpours, with about 40 participants including employees from the district office, Seodaemun Fire Station, Hong Eun 2-dong Community Center, and residents.
The drill was conducted assuming an isolation accident occurred during a sudden heavy rain situation. The main contents included ▲operation of disaster forecast and warning systems and demonstration of announcement broadcasts ▲guiding residents to evacuate in advance through announcement broadcasts ▲joint public-private response to isolation accidents in the stream and resident evacuation. Through this, each organization practiced the entire process from operating the disaster forecast and warning system when the situation occurs to disinfection activities after the situation is resolved.
