Jo Jeonghun: "Meeting with Han Donghun is necessary for himself"
"Giving an Opportunity to Former Commissioner Han"
"Jang Dong-hyeok Made Candid and Bold Proposals"
Jo Jeong-hoon, Chairman of the People Power Party's General Election White Paper Special Committee, argued that a meeting with former Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon is necessary for Han himself. Chairman Jo made this statement after concluding a meeting with Jang Dong-hyeok, the party's floor chief spokesperson.

He added, "I believe it is courteous to hear the reflections and positions of those being evaluated. I think it is right to offer the opportunity for (Chairman Han) himself. If there is no response by the set deadline, we have no other options."
Regarding Jang, the floor chief spokesperson, who earlier expressed displeasure about the special committee's attempt to meet with former Chairman Han, Chairman Jo said, "I do not consider it an unpleasant remark." He continued, "Today, as someone who served as Secretary-General, he spoke very candidly about his role, regrets, and what we need to do, offering frank suggestions that were quite agreeable." He added, "I do not know how former Secretary-General Jang will speak going forward, but we gave him more than two hours, and I am very grateful that he was more honest and detailed than expected."
Jang, the floor chief spokesperson, said in an interview on the previous day on 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' program, "I also participated as a writer for the 21st general election white paper special committee, and even though Representative Hwang Kyo-ahn had stepped down at that time, we did not bring him in to ask or question." He added, "I am not sure if there has ever been such controversy or fairness disputes while publishing a general election white paper." He criticized, "Most of what former Chairman Han could say in a meeting can be fully explained by me as Secretary-General. However, it is inappropriate to act as if a conclusion has already been reached."
