[Breaking] Balloon for Anti-South Leaflet Distribution Found in Geochang, Gyeongnam
Police are examining an object presumed to be a balloon used for distributing anti-North Korea leaflets, found near a rice field in Geochang County, Gyeongnam.

Objects presumed to be leaflets dispersed by North Korea were discovered in Geochang, Gyeongnam, prompting the dispatch of police, military, and fire authorities.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Department on the 29th, a report was received at around 9:51 a.m. that leaflets targeting South Korea were found in a rice field in Sangcheon-ri, Wicheon-myeon, Geochang-gun.
Upon receiving the report, the police, fire authorities, and the Army's 39th Division were dispatched to the scene, where they discovered the leaflets attached to a large balloon and controlled the surrounding area.
Previously, at around 10:17 p.m. the previous night, a report was received that debris from a balloon used to disperse North Korean leaflets had been found near Soyosan in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi Province.
Later, at 11:34 p.m., a disaster alert message was sent to some areas in Gyeonggi Province stating, "Unidentified object presumed to be North Korean leaflet detected. Refrain from outdoor activities and report to the military if identified. Air raid Preliminary warning."
The military and other authorities believe the object was carried by the wind to Gyeongnam and plan to collect and investigate its contents.
