Gwangju Buk-gu Introduces Youth Autonomous Space ‘Jaeminazip’
Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is introducing the youth autonomous space ‘Jaeminazip’ where residents can enjoy leisure and culture.
On the 29th, Buk-gu announced that it will complete the youth autonomous space creation project and hold an opening ceremony. The ceremony will take place from 4:30 PM to 5:20 PM on the first floor of Dasaroum Complex 2 in Seorim Village, Im-dong, where the youth autonomous space was established. About 50 local youths and residents will participate, with events including ‘project progress video viewing,’ ‘congratulatory symbolic ceremony,’ and ‘unveiling ceremony.’
Jaeminazip is a facility funded with 370 million KRW secured through Buk-gu’s selection in last year’s Gwangju city public contest. With the cooperation of Gwangju Urban Corporation for the location, it was created in a 137.9㎡ vacant space on the first floor of Dasaroum Complex 2 in Seorim Village, Im-dong, which has excellent accessibility for youth due to nearby educational institutions such as Seorim Elementary School and Bukseong Middle School, as well as large-scale apartment complexes.
The main facilities inside the space include ▲karaoke room ▲photo studio ▲game zone ▲VR experience zone ▲PC zone ▲book cafe ▲lounge, arranged by actively reflecting the opinions of youth to provide a place where they can comfortably relax anytime and support healthy leisure and cultural activities.
The youth autonomous space Jaeminazip is free to use for youths aged 9 to 18. Operating hours are from 1 PM to 8 PM Tuesday through Friday, and from 10 AM to 6 PM on Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays, Mondays, and public holidays.
