KPS Changes Subsidiary Name to 'Battery Solutions' for Battery Recycling
KPS has changed the name of its comprehensive battery recycling subsidiary, Segiritec, to Battery Solutions and unveiled a new corporate identity (CI) in preparation for entering the stock market. Battery Solutions has signed a lead underwriting agreement with KB Securities and a co-underwriting agreement with Kiwoom Securities, aiming for a public listing next year.
According to the company, Battery Solutions embodies the ambition to emphasize resource circulation through battery recycling and to offer solutions for a sustainable future. The new CI visually represents the abbreviation 'BS' for Battery Solutions.
Using sky blue and green, the design overall highlights the identity of an eco-friendly recycling company. Sky blue symbolizes a clean sky and future-oriented technology, while green visually represents nature and the ecosystem.
Along with the name change, Battery Solutions, which is pursuing a stock market listing, also shows a positive outlook for its operating performance this year. In the first quarter (January to March), sales and operating profit reached 26.3 billion KRW and approximately 3.8 billion KRW, respectively. Consequently, KPS’s consolidated sales and operating profit were recorded at 31.7 billion KRW and 3.4 billion KRW, reflecting a 202% growth and a return to profitability.
