Dongguk CM Establishes European Branch in Germany... Expanding Color Steel Sheet Exports
As Part of the 'DK Color Vision 2030' Global Expansion Strategy
Dongkuk Steel Group's cold-rolled steel business company Dongkuk CM announced on the 29th that it held the 'Dongkuk CM Europe Branch Opening Ceremony' on the 28th (local time) in Eschborn, Frankfurt, Germany.
Following the global growth strategy 'DK Color Vision 2030,' Dongkuk CM is focusing on expanding overseas bases to overcome the growth limitations of the domestic market. With the opening of the German office, Dongkuk CM increased its bases from 5 in 4 countries (India, Mexico, Thailand, Vietnam) to 6 in 5 countries. The goal is to secure 8 bases in 7 countries by 2030.
Europe is a key region accounting for 40% of Dongkuk CM's exports of color steel sheets for construction materials. By opening a local office, Dongkuk CM aims to strengthen communication with customers and focus on discovering new demand within Europe. Germany is a strategic hub where more than half of the world's major trade fairs are held and borders nine countries. Eschborn, Frankfurt, where the office is located, has an international business district, making it easy to connect with affiliated companies.

Based on the new base, Dongkuk CM will work to upgrade the quality of export quota volumes to Europe. Through local market research, Dongkuk CM confirmed customer preference for the premium color steel sheet 'Luxteel,' and plans to expand exports of high-margin premium products such as digital printing and lamination targeting advanced European countries with high demand for premium construction materials.
Dongkuk CM plans to strengthen its capabilities to respond to eco-friendly export regulations such as the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) through the branch and to advance regional sales strategies and services.
The opening ceremony held at a hotel near the German office was attended by Hyunsik Lee, Executive Director of Sales at Dongkuk CM; Younghwan Kwon, Head of Luxteel Export Team; Sangjo Park, Office Manager; and key customers.
