Industry-Academia Network for Space and Unmanned Education Personnel Exchange
LIG Nex1 (CEO Shin Ik-hyun) and the Korea Joint Military Academy (President Park Chan-geun) have joined hands to cultivate military experts specialized in future defense fields and to activate industry-academia networks.
On the 28th, LIG Nex1 announced on the 29th that it signed a 'Business Cooperation Agreement for the Cultivation of Military Experts' with the Korea Joint Military Academy at the LIG Nex1 Pangyo House in Seongnam. Key officials from both organizations, including Shin Ik-hyun, CEO of LIG Nex1, and Park Chan-geun, President of the Korea Joint Military Academy, attended the event.

View original imageThrough this agreement, LIG Nex1 and the Korea Joint Military Academy plan to closely cooperate to establish and activate an industry-academia network for the development of defense industry, security, military, and science and technology fields. They will also carry out △ education and personnel exchange in defense space and unmanned policy and power fields △ support for visits to defense industry facilities, among other activities.
LIG Nex1 is currently undertaking projects focusing on securing AI-based core advanced power, such as building manned-unmanned combined combat systems and strengthening operational capabilities in space, cyber, and electromagnetic spectrum, as part of the military's 'Defense Innovation 4.0' initiative.
Additionally, LIG Nex1 has been proactively preparing future defense R&D infrastructure by completing the dedicated system integration test building for unmanned surface vessels, constructing satellite system integration/test buildings, and pursuing the acquisition of 'Ghost Robotics,' a leading American quadruped robot developer.
By signing the business agreement with the Korea Joint Military Academy, LIG Nex1 plans to intensify efforts to cultivate military experts who will be at the center of advanced power operation.
