The Delivery of Flowers of Remembrance campaign involves participants delivering flowers to 139 Girl Statues across the country during July.
The campaign was organized to remember and raise awareness of the history of Japanese military sexual slavery victims and to share the sentiment of mourning for the victims through the process of delivering flowers.
Gyeonggi Province will recruit flower delivery participants from the general public until 6 p.m. on June 20 and select a total of 139 participants.
Participants will receive flowers provided by the organizers and personally deliver them to the Girl Statue in their desired area, capturing the moment in photos to share widely on social networking services (SNS).
Those interested may also attend the main event of the Day of Remembrance held on August 10 at Nanum House in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province. Applications for participation can be submitted via Naver Form (https://naver.me/xTbaEN8t) until June 20.
When applying, participants can select 1 to 3 preferred Girl Statue locations for flower delivery. Participants will receive certification for volunteer service hours.
