Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, "Take Longevity Photos for Seniors and Enjoy Healthy Longevity"
On the morning of the 28th at 9 a.m., in the auditorium of Seongsan 2-dong Community Center in Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su), a ‘Senior Longevity Photo’ session was held to wish for the longevity and health of the elderly.
This longevity photo session, promoted as part of this year’s ‘Creating Livable Villages’ contest project, was organized by the Seongsan 2-dong Residents’ Autonomy Committee (Chairman Jo Gyu-sik), with about 60 local seniors aged 75 and older participating, including Park Gang-su, the Mayor of Mapo-gu.
On the day, the seniors groomed themselves and followed the professional photographer’s instructions for the photo shoot, and Mayor Park Gang-su also assisted with the seniors’ photo sessions.
Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu said, “The seniors, who are the foremost contributors to the development of the Republic of Korea, will be cared for by Mapo-gu without any shortcomings so that they can enjoy a joyful and happy old age,” adding, “I hope all seniors enjoy health and longevity.”

The framed photos will be personally delivered to the seniors’ homes or senior centers by the neighborhood chief and members of the Residents’ Autonomy Committee.
