Government Provides 17.5 Billion KRW Support for Projects Including Drug Detection, AI Semiconductors, and Digital Healthcare

Support of Around 4 Billion KRW per Project Over 4 Years

View original imageThe Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation (IITP) will hold a one-month open call starting from the 27th for new innovation challenge projects under the 'Core Technology Development Project for Immersive Content.'
The newly announced projects include four topics: ▲ Deepfake detection to enhance AI ethics ▲ Ultra-low power, ultra-high performance AI semiconductors ▲ Non-invasive digital healthcare ▲ Intelligent non-contact drug detection.
A total of 17.5 billion KRW will be supported over the next four years, with each project receiving approximately 4 to 4.6 billion KRW.
Researchers applying for participation must propose innovative and challenging research methods and goals to explore and solve problems related to each field's research topics.
The projects were initiated to address national issues closely related to the quality of life of the public, such as public safety, or to overcome limiting factors hindering the advancement of digital technologies like AI semiconductors.
