View original imageGangseo-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) held the "2024 Multicultural Festival and Family Event" on the 25th at the Gomdallae Cultural Welfare Center in Hwagok-dong. Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon attended the event and enjoyed the festival with the residents. Now in its 9th year, the Multicultural Festival is a venue for harmony aimed at eliminating prejudice and discrimination against multicultural families and creating a community that respects each other's cultures.
Under the theme "Together is Good 多 (Da), Embracing Diversity 多 (Da)," a variety of programs were offered where participants could experience the cultures, foods, crafts, and games of different countries. The highlight of the festival was undoubtedly the "World Traditional Costume Fashion Show," where traditional costumes from 20 countries including Mongolia, China, and Vietnam were showcased at a glance.
Mayor Jin wore traditional Indian attire and participated in the fashion show alongside students from the Department of Modeling at Seoul Institute of the Arts, receiving applause. The event also included a ceremony to honor five exemplary couples who serve as role models in the community in celebration of Couples' Day.
