US Securities and Exchange Commission Approves Ethereum Spot ETF Listing
Following the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, Ethereum has also received approval from U.S. regulatory authorities for the listing of a spot Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF).
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the listing of the Ethereum spot ETF applied for by U.S. asset management firm VanEck and others on the 23rd (local time).
This comes just over four months after the approval of the Bitcoin spot ETF in January, marking the first approval for an altcoin (cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin).
According to the global cryptocurrency market tracking site CoinMarketCap, as of 6:48 AM Korean time, the price of Ethereum is trading at $3,823.71, up 1.96% compared to the previous day.
