Park Jumin Appeals to All Ruling Party Lawmakers with Letter to Support Special Prosecutor for Corporal Chae
Sent uniformly to the floor leadership and others
"The truth still remains unrevealed" claim
On the 22nd, Park Ju-min, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, appealed to the members of the People Power Party to cast their votes in favor of introducing the 'Special Prosecutor Act for Corporal Chae.' It is known that he conveyed this message in the form of a letter to all ruling party members of the 21st National Assembly, including Chu Kyung-ho, the floor leader of the People Power Party.
On the 25th, Park Ju-min, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, along with the Citizens' Action for Judicial Justice and the Marine Corps Reserve Alliance, held a press conference at the National Assembly to report President Yoon Seok-yeol and Lee Si-won, Secretary for Public Office Discipline, to the Corruption Investigation Office for the Incident of the Death of Cha Sang-byeong. He stated, "Even after 10 months since the accident occurred, none of the related parties have taken proper responsibility," and added, "Numerous suspicions have been raised across various institutions, but the truth has still not been revealed."
Park also highlighted the incompetence of the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO), which is currently investigating the case, to push for the enactment of the special prosecutor law. He said, "As you know, the CIO is a very small agency with only about 20 prosecutors and is already handling dozens of cases," and continued, "The retention period for communication data of the related parties is one year, and by July, it will already be one year since the accident occurred. To uncover the truth properly, the special prosecutor must be launched quickly." He added, "The re-vote will be conducted anonymously," and earnestly requested, "Please vote according to your conscience for the people, and have the courage to do so."

There is also a reaction of puzzlement over sending the same message to the party leadership, who openly oppose the special prosecutor law vote.
