'아이폰 Jakga' and Editing Show Collaboration... Shinsegae百, 'Street Art' Photo Exhibition
From the 24th at Cheongdam Boon the Shop Shinsegae Gallery
Shinsegae Department Store announced on the 21st that it will present a unique exhibition combining art and products at The Bundershop Shinsegae Gallery in Cheongdam.
This exhibition showcases photographs imbued with the unique sensibility of Japanese street art photographer RK (Ryousuke Kosuge), who has garnered global attention through social networks (SNS), alongside street fashion items.
RK is a photographer famous for taking pictures with a mobile phone, earning him the nickname "iPhone artist," and he has about 770,000 fans on SNS. He has collaborated with various figures and brands across genres, including Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and the leading streetwear brand BAPE, establishing himself as one of the "hippest" artists worldwide. Notably, this exhibition allows the artist, who has been showcasing his work mainly through SNS, to communicate with fans through physical photographs.
Shinsegae plans to harmoniously present RK's works alongside trendy street products from its in-house select shop "Case Study" and art furniture from the experimental furniture brand "Nice Workshop."
The exhibition, running from the 24th to July 20th, features RK as the main artist along with his crew members Kyosuke Kawamura and Coin Parking Delivery, showcasing a total of about 80 works.
