Police Request Arrest Warrant for 50-Year-Old Man Who Beat Goshiwon Neighbor to Death

The police have applied for an arrest warrant for a man in his 50s who fatally punched his neighbor in a goshiwon.
On the 20th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they applied for an arrest warrant the previous day for Mr. A on charges of murder for causing the death of a man in his 40s.
Mr. A is accused of repeatedly punching a man in his 40s, a neighboring resident, at a goshiwon in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, around 8:30 p.m. on the 18th, causing his death. The police arrested Mr. A at the scene as a suspect caught in the act.
At the time of arrest, Mr. A was suspected of causing injury resulting in death, but during the investigation, the police concluded that there was intent to kill and applied murder charges.
During the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he had a bad relationship with the victim and claimed that "the victim was spreading bad rumors about me."
It was determined that Mr. A had been drinking at the time of the incident but was not intoxicated.
