On the 2nd day of his 'state visit,' Putin arrives in Haerbin
Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is on a state visit to China, arrived in Harbin on the 17th (local time), according to the Russian Sputnik news agency.
President Putin is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the 8th Russia-China Expo and the 4th Russia-China Regional Cooperation Forum in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province bordering Russia, and visit Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT).

Vice President Han Zheng is accompanying President Putin in Harbin on behalf of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
After arriving in Beijing the previous day, President Putin held three meetings with President Xi: a small-scale morning meeting, an expanded afternoon meeting, and an informal evening meeting combined with a walk. They discussed bilateral partnership and strategic cooperation issues, as well as international security matters including the situation in Ukraine.
