Lee Eung-woo, Gyeryong Mayor, Receives 'Best' Manifesto Pledge Fulfillment Evaluation for 2 Consecutive Years
Pledge Fulfillment Rate at 45%... "All Administrative Efforts Will Focus on Fulfilling Pledges"
Lee Eung-woo, mayor of Gyeryong City in Chungnam, received the highest rating for two consecutive years in the pledge fulfillment evaluation.
On the 14th, Gyeryong City announced that it received the highest (SA) rating in the "2024 2nd Year Evaluation of Pledge Fulfillment and Information Disclosure for Local Government Heads Nationwide in the 8th Term of Direct Election," conducted by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters. This recognized Mayor Lee as a local government head who values promises made to citizens above all else.
The evaluation was conducted across five areas: pledge fulfillment completion rate, achievement of 2023 goals, resident communication, online communication, and consistency with election pledges.
According to the city, the pledge fulfillment completion rate was 45%, significantly higher than the national average of 34.26%.
Additionally, last year's goal achievement rate of 91.7% was higher than the national average of 89.58%, and the rate of securing necessary finances for pledge fulfillment received a score of 32.8%, surpassing the national average of 24.9%.
The city has established plans to improve the pledge fulfillment rate and implementation plans for 60 projects across seven sectors to keep promises made to citizens, and it has checked the pledge fulfillment performance quarterly.

Mayor Lee said, "We are doing our best to fulfill the pledges to complete the city administration slogan, 'Yes! Gyeryong, Overflowing with Happiness,' and we will not be satisfied with achieving the highest (SA) rating this time. We will focus administrative power to fulfill all pledges made to citizens."
