Gyeongnam Jeongbodae Physical Therapy Students Selected for 'Pre-Startup Package' to Develop Healthcare App
Ministry of SMEs and Startups Provides 39 Million Won Support
Tak Ho-young, a student in the Department of Physical Therapy at Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Tae-sang), has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' '2024 Preliminary Startup Package' and will receive 39 million KRW in government support.
The Preliminary Startup Package, organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, is a government startup nurturing program that provides various forms of funding and education to help prospective entrepreneurs with innovative technology startup ideas launch their businesses.

View original imageSelected prospective entrepreneurs receive not only funding for commercialization through the package but also professional support for business model advancement and prototype production. The support period lasts until the end of this year.
Tak Ho-young plans to start a business with the item "PTBRO FIT," a 3D spine analysis based on video analysis technology that finds the hidden height of infants and adolescents. He is accelerating development with the goal of launching the product in October this year.
Tak Ho-young entered the Department of Physical Therapy at this university in 2019, obtained a physical therapist medical technician license in March 2024, and is currently pursuing an advanced major course.
He was consecutively selected as a finalist in the Growth Track category at the Ministry of Education's Startup Promising Teams 300 Competition in 2022 and 2023.

Tak Ho-young said, "I am developing a healthcare application based in the region to contribute to revitalizing the local economy," adding, "I want to become a startup entrepreneur who collaborates with the local education office to help students grow healthily."
