"K-Food Enjoyed in the Sky"… CJ CheilJedang and T'way Air Jointly Develop In-flight Meals
Operating on new European routes starting from the 16th
Expanding collaboration based on competitiveness in food and aviation sectors
CJ CheilJedang is partnering with T'way Air, the first domestic low-cost carrier (LCC) to launch European routes, to introduce in-flight meal menus.
On the 13th, CJ CheilJedang announced that it will unveil two in-flight meal options developed in collaboration with T'way Air. These menus will be served on T'way Air's new Incheon-Zagreb (Croatia) route starting from the 16th.

The one-meal (One Meal) type menus jointly developed by the two companies are ‘Beef Mushroom Porridge’ and ‘Sausage & Egg Brunch.’ These are the second set of menus offered on European routes that take more than 10 hours of flight time, designed to be enjoyed comfortably even on long-haul flights.
Beef Mushroom Porridge is a Korean dish featuring three toppings?stir-fried beef, egg, and shiitake mushrooms?on vegetable porridge. It is characterized by a soft yet chewy texture, optimized for in-flight cooking conditions with the ideal porridge consistency and topping composition and size. The Sausage & Egg Brunch applies CJ CheilJedang’s differentiated ‘Air-cell’ technology to maximize the fluffiness of scrambled eggs and achieves a soft texture optimized for in-flight oven cooking.
Additionally, both in-flight meal options use eco-friendly paper trays to reduce plastic usage onboard, while increasing the menu weight to provide a satisfying meal even in the sky.
CJ CheilJedang and T'way Air recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for joint development of in-flight meals. The agreement was signed in the presence of executives from both companies, including Park Chung-il, Head of CJ CheilJedang’s B2B Business Division, and Kim Hyung-yi, Head of T'way Air’s Management Division. Through this agreement, CJ CheilJedang will focus on developing ready-to-eat frozen in-flight meals, while T'way Air will collaborate on menu sales and marketing tailored to each route.
