Kidnapping Threat Calls Demanding Ransom to Family
One suspect has been arrested by the police in connection with the murder of a Korean tourist in his 30s in Pattaya, Thailand.
The Criminal Mobile Unit of the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 13th that they have apprehended and are investigating a man in his 20s, B, on charges of murder and corpse disposal for killing Korean male tourist Mr. A (34) in Pattaya and abandoning the body.
The police confirmed that one of the suspects had entered the country and tracked his whereabouts, leading to the emergency arrest of B at his residence at 7:46 p.m. the previous day.
Earlier, on the 12th (local time), according to the Korean Embassy in Thailand and local media Khaosod, Thai police discovered Mr. A’s body inside a large black plastic container filled with cement at a reservoir in Pattaya the previous night. Mr. A was reported to have entered Thailand on the 30th of last month.
