Cho Ho-kwon, Yeongdeungpo-gu Mayor, Attends 'Dorim-dong Charming Garden' Creation Ceremony
On the morning of the 10th, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, visited the Yeongdeungpo Multipurpose Badminton Gymnasium to create the Dorim-dong Charming Garden.
At the event, Mayor Choi Ho-gwon and local residents gathered to join forces in establishing the Dorim-dong Charming Garden.
Through this event, 350 trees of seven species including Four Seasons Rose, Western Sea Buckthorn, and Plumbago, as well as 1,500 herbaceous plants of four species such as Perennial Salvia and Winter Jasmine, were planted in the green area in front of the previously vacant badminton court, providing a pleasant and beautiful garden for the residents.
Meanwhile, at the Dorim Retention Basin near the Charming Garden, 200 million KRW of city funds have been invested to ensure the successful hosting of Dorim-dong’s representative festival, the Rose Festival. Facilities such as nighttime lighting are being installed, and 1,500 rose bushes and 5,000 herbaceous plants are being planted in full preparation.
