There Is Arbor Day at Sea Too... Korean Floating Offshore Wind Power, Marine Protection Campaign
Ulsan Nasa Beach Coastal Cleanup Volunteer Activity
Do you know about Sea Tree Planting Day?
Korea Floating Wind, a Korean floating offshore wind company, announced on the 10th that it conducted a beach cleanup activity on the 9th at Nasa Beach in Ulju-gun to create a clean beach and practice marine environmental protection, one day before Sea Tree Planting Day.
Sea Tree Planting Day is a nationally designated commemorative day announced in February 2013, set on May 10 every year to protect the marine ecosystem, which is collapsing due to marine pollution and rising water temperatures.
About 20 employees of Korea Floating Wind volunteered to collect trash at Nasa Beach to protect the marine and coastal ecosystems, which are precious living spaces for the residents of Ulju-gun and hold the sustainable future of the Republic of Korea.
Some of the household waste collected that day, such as PET bottles left by visitors, will be recycled.
A representative of Korea Floating Wind said, "Korea Floating Wind will take the lead in sustainable growth of the local community and marine environmental protection," adding, "Starting with this volunteer activity, we are preparing various ESG activities involving all employees."
Korea Floating Wind Co., Ltd. (Korea Floating Wind, KF Wind) is a global floating offshore wind power developer, a joint venture established by Ocean Winds, headquartered in Spain, and Mainstream Renewable Power, a renewable energy subsidiary of Aker Group, a Norwegian marine engineering company.
