In Celebration of Family Month, Four Public Libraries Host Flea Markets, Author Lectures, and Art Performances -
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) will hold a variety of cultural events that the whole family can enjoy together starting from the 11th of May in celebration of Family Month.
This event was jointly planned by the district and the Dongjak Cultural Foundation to approach residents not only as places for reading but also as complex spaces where culture can be enjoyed, centered around the four Dongjak-gu public libraries.
First, on the 11th, the Nanuri Market will be held at Daebang Children's Library (55 Daebangdong-gil), and on the 12th at Sindaebang Nuri Library (19 Sindaebang 1-da-gil).
The events will take place from 2 PM to 4 PM and will feature a flea market, various experience booths, and busking performances.
In particular, at the flea market zone, family sellers who applied in advance will sell various items such as stationery, toys, books, and clothing, and the proceeds will be donated through connections with local childcare centers, allowing participants to share the joy of giving.
Additionally, Kim Young-sam Library (1 Maebong-ro) will hold the ‘Our Family Happy May’ event from the 18th to the 26th.
On the 18th, there will be the ‘Mom and Dad Happiness Project’ for parents and children to participate together, and on the 24th, the ‘Five Senses Development Komjirak Book Playground’ for infants and toddlers, with two book play programs in total.
