Eunpyeong-gu Conducts Complete Survey of Private Facilities Including Fences, Stone Walls, and Retaining Walls
Comprehensive Survey of Auxiliary Walls, Stone Walls, and Retaining Walls at 19,347 Buildings
Selective Management by Vulnerability Period Based on Inspection Grades
Wall Support Project Linked with Stone Wall and Retaining Wall Precision Diagnosis and Structural Reinforcement Support Projects
Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that it will conduct a full survey of private facilities such as fences, stone walls, and retaining walls attached to buildings within the district.
The survey targets fences, stone walls, and retaining walls attached to 19,347 buildings in the area. In the first phase, 5,334 sites will be surveyed this year, and in the second phase, 14,013 sites will be surveyed in 2025.
The inspection will be conducted through on-site investigations and safety checks by architectural experts (licensed architects), examining detailed items on the safety checklist such as drainage and damage conditions of the facilities.
Based on the inspection results, the condition of the facilities will be classified into five grades: excellent, good, average, poor, and bad, and selectively managed according to vulnerable periods. Facilities requiring repair or reinforcement due to serious defects will be guided to self-repair by the owners (managers).
In particular, the district plans to manage the facilities by linking with the fence support project, detailed diagnosis, and structural reinforcement support projects, encouraging owners (managers) to actively carry out repair and reinforcement work through financial support, thereby creating a safe and pleasant residential environment.
