S-OIL Sponsors 120 Million KRW Fuel Costs for Youth Food Trucks
Support for Entrepreneurs Facing Difficulties Due to COVID-19
S-OIL (CEO Anwar Al Hizazi) generously donated 120 million KRW for fuel expenses to youth food trucks.
On the 8th, S-OIL held a 'Youth Food Truck Fuel Expense Handover Ceremony' at Mangwon Hangang Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and announced that it had delivered sponsorship funds to the 'Working Together Foundation' (Chairman Lee Sejung).
The company has been operating a fuel expense sponsorship program for food trucks since 2018 to help resolve youth unemployment and support the self-reliance of vulnerable groups. Food trucks, combined with cultural performances, have been expanding mainly at local government festival sites nationwide and have been recognized as a youth startup item. However, they have faced many difficulties due to event cancellations caused by COVID-19 over the past few years.
S-OIL announced a fuel expense support program targeting food truck entrepreneurs nationwide under the age of 39 and plans to select a total of 50 teams through document and on-site evaluations.
Each team will receive a fuel gift certificate worth approximately 2 million KRW. Since the launch of the sponsorship program in 2018, S-OIL has provided fuel gift certificates worth 720 million KRW to a total of 326 teams over seven years up to this year.
