Yeongdeok-gun Community Security Council, Campaign to Identify Potential Crisis Households
Increasing Local Residents' Interest to Prevent Welfare Blind Spots and Establish Social Safety Nets
The Community Security Council of Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk, conducted the '2024 Crisis Household Discovery Promotion Campaign' on the 4th at the Yeongdeok-gun Mulgajami Festival venue, with the participation of about 30 people including private chairpersons of the town and township Community Security Councils and members of the Chuksan-myeon council.
At the Chuksan-myeon Yeongdeok Mulga Flatfish Festival venue, the chairman of the local community security council's private committee and members of the Chuksan-myeon council conducted a promotional campaign to identify vulnerable households.

It provided information on welfare services and distributed promotional materials to encourage residents to pay attention to and report neighbors in need of help.
Crisis households refer to those experiencing livelihood difficulties due to unemployment, business suspension, or closure; housing-vulnerable households living in small rooms or inns; bereaved families due to suicide or other family deaths; households needing assistance due to serious illness or disability; and single-person households requiring care. When the individuals in need or their neighbors face social risks requiring help, anyone can request assistance at the nearest town or township administrative welfare center.
Co-chair Lee Heewon stated, “I hope this campaign serves as an opportunity to take another look at whether there are neighbors in need of help in our community, and we will continue to strive to eliminate welfare blind spots through public-private cooperation.”
