Gyeongnam Governor Park Wansu Visits Hapcheon Disaster Victims to Offer Comfort and Promise Swift Recovery
Park Wan-su, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, visited Yangsan Village in Daeyang-myeon, Hapcheon-gun, where houses were flooded due to heavy rain the previous day, on the 6th to console residents and inspect the damage recovery situation.
According to Gyeongnam Province, as of midnight on the 5th, the rainfall in Hapcheon-gun was 59.6mm, which was less than the provincial average rainfall of 86.1mm, but houses were flooded because a temporary road installed nearby obstructed the flow of water.

The temporary road was identified as being installed for the construction of Expressway No. 14 between Hamyang and Changnyeong, commissioned by the Korea Expressway Corporation.
Gyeongnam Province and Hapcheon-gun urgently evacuated 55 village residents overnight to the village hall and other locations, and partially dismantled the temporary road to prevent further damage.
