Gyeonggi-do Injects 10 Billion KRW into 10 Local Rivers
Gyeonggi Province will disburse advance payments totaling 10 billion KRW in the first half of this year for 10 local stream maintenance projects to revitalize the economy.
Gyeonggi Province explained that the advance payments aim to ensure steady financial support for construction companies facing difficulties due to rising raw material prices, thereby expecting to stimulate the local economy and facilitate smooth project progress.
The recipients are 10 construction companies with poor credit ratings or small scale among the 16 local stream maintenance projects currently promoted by the province.
The payment sites include the Hwaseong Sammicheon local stream maintenance project with 288 million KRW and the Anseong Woldongcheon renovation project with 1.034 billion KRW.

Park Seongsik, head of the Gyeonggi Province River Division, stated, "Despite the difficult economic conditions, we will proceed without delay in supporting the budget for local stream maintenance projects that prevent damage to residents' safety and property and create flood control and waterfront spaces."
