Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced on May 2 that officials from the Korea-Germany Unification Advisory Committee, a regular consultative body on unification issues between the Korean and German governments, visited Busan Port on the 2nd.

View original imageThe Korea-Germany Unification Advisory Committee, a regular consultative body on unification issues between the Korean and German governments, has been holding joint meetings between the Ministry of Unification and the German Federal Chancellery alternately in both countries since 2011. This year, the committee meeting was held in Busan from April 30 to May 1.
A German delegation of about 30 members, including Carsten Schneider, Deputy Head of the Federal Chancellery, visited Busan Port on May 2 as part of a cultural and industrial site inspection and training program following the official conclusion of the meeting.
The German delegation listened to the current status and future development plans of Busan Port, including cooperation between Korean and German ports and the achievements of Korea's first automated terminal, and took a maritime tour by boarding the Busan Port Authority's port guide vessel.
