National Health Insurance Service Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Headquarters Donates 70 Million KRW Social Contribution Fund to Support Vulnerable Groups in Busan

Busan City and the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Headquarters of the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), led by Choi Deok-geun, will hold a “Social Contribution Fund Delivery Ceremony for Supporting Vulnerable Groups” at 4:30 PM on the 2nd in the 7th-floor conference room of City Hall.
About 10 people, including Lee Jun-seung, Deputy Mayor, Choi Deok-geun, Head of the NHIS Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Headquarters, and related facility directors, are expected to attend the ceremony.
The NHIS Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Headquarters will deliver a social contribution fund of 70 million KRW to support vulnerable groups, which will be distributed to the Out-of-School Youth Support Center, Youth Shelter, and Regional Self-Sufficiency Center during the ceremony.
The delivered funds will be used for ▲supporting certification acquisition and education expenses for out-of-school youth ▲medical expenses support for youth shelters ▲purchase of hospital safe accompaniment service vehicles for citizens who have difficulty using or traveling to hospitals ▲capacity-building education for participants of the Regional Self-Sufficiency Center.
Choi Deok-geun, Head of the NHIS Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam Headquarters, said, “We hope the NHIS social contribution fund will help fill care gaps and support the future of youth in crisis,” adding, “The NHIS will continue to strive to work together with the public through communication and consideration.”
Deputy Mayor Lee Jun-seung stated, “The interest and support from the National Health Insurance Service strengthen the local welfare safety net while serving as a great driving force for our youth to grow up healthy and for citizens to enjoy a comfortable and happy daily life,” and added, “We appreciate this support and hope for continued contributions to the local community.”
