Mapo-gu (Mayor Park Gang-su) will hold the ‘Red, Yellow, Blue, Bloom Your Dreams’ Children’s Festival on May 4th at Yanghwajin Historical Park and the Sky Road area.
Celebrating its 14th year, this festival is held for the first time at Yanghwajin Historical and Cultural Park under the theme ‘Red, Yellow, Blue, Bloom Your Dreams!’ with the hope that children will nurture their dreams harmonizing with red flowers, yellow butterflies, and the blue sky. Children and residents alike can enjoy special performances and various experience and play programs while embracing nature.
In particular, the pre-performance starting at 10 a.m. at Yanghwajin Historical Park will be followed by a parade by the ‘Mapo Dream Nuri Group’ from 10:40 a.m. at Exit 7 of Hapjeong Station, proceeding through Hapjeong-dong’s ‘Sky Road’ to the festival stage at Yanghwajin Historical and Cultural Park.
The Sky Road parade by the Mapo Dream Nuri Group, recruited through prior registration, consists of about 50 children dressed in distinctive costumes such as Snow White, dinosaurs, Avengers, and a traditional guard unit, allowing citizens to take photos or participate in the parade.
