Gwangju Seo-gu Recruiting 60 Students for 'Smart Parenting Life' Course

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) announced on the 30th that it will recruit 60 students on a first-come, first-served basis for the 1st Seo-gu Parent Classroom "Wise Parenting Life" until the 8th of next month.

The Seo-gu Parent Classroom is a specialized educational program unique to Seo-gu that provides various information on communication, career paths, and college entrance exams to parents interested in their children's education every year.

This year, the program will be conducted as customer-centered customized courses tailored to the children's school age and parents' circumstances, including ▲ elementary course ▲ middle school course ▲ high school course ▲ weekend special lectures for working parents.

In particular, starting from the 10th of next month, every Friday at 10 a.m. in the Deulbul Hall of Seo-gu Office, the "1st Future Guide for Parents of High School Students" will offer in-depth lectures by experts in various fields on topics such as ▲ "Take good care of the difficult 3 years of high school," coaching communication methods for parent-child win-win ▲ the role of parents in exploring their children's career paths ▲ "Changing college entrance exams, find opportunities amid changes!" for parents with high school children.

Participation applications can be made after signing up as a member through the Seo-gu Hi-Edu Net website or the 'QR direct link' included in the information notice, and the tuition fee is free.

Lee Hojun, Director of the Happiness Education Division, said, "Through this course, we hope that parents will learn how to communicate with their high school children and acquire accurate college entrance information, serving as a stepping stone for local students to grow into future talents."

Meanwhile, Seo-gu plans to offer various and abundant programs for children's education, including education for parents of middle school students in June, weekend special lectures in July, and education for parents of elementary school students in October.
