Jungnang-gu Operates 'Environment and Life Respect Education Program' for Young Children
Aimed at 4-5 Year Olds to Foster Awareness of Animal Protection Importance
First-Come, First-Served Applications on Jungnang-gu Environmental Education Center Website Until May 3
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will operate an environmental and life-respect education program called "Animal Protection Operation" for young children on May 4th.
This education program is prepared in connection with the Jungnang-gu Environmental Education Center, a local environmental education platform, to help preschool children realize the importance of animal protection and cultivate awareness of animal care.
The education covers three topics related to pets and stray cats commonly found in the local ecosystem: ▲ Animals have emotions ▲ Attitudes to consider when meeting animals for the first time ▲ What is responsible pet care?
The program will be held on Saturday, May 4th at 10:30 AM at the Kkureogi Maru of the Jungnang-gu Environmental Education Center, targeting children aged 4 to 5 (born in 2018?2019) living in Jungnang-gu.
Applications for participation are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the 3rd on the Jungnang-gu Environmental Education Center website, with a capacity of 15 participants.
Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi said, "I hope this education will be an easy and fun opportunity for children to learn how to protect and consider animals they encounter in their daily lives," and added, "We will continue to prepare various educational programs tailored to the perspective of children."

Additionally, the district operates an annual "Visiting Animal Protection Education" program for local elementary schools, kindergartens, and daycare centers so that children can learn animal protection awareness and proper pet care methods more easily and enjoyably.
