Jin Gyo-hoon, Gangseo District Mayor, Attends Resident Budget School... Emphasizes 'Tangible Policy'
Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District Office in Seoul, said on the 26th, "We will implement policies that are truly necessary and tangible to residents' lives."
Mayor Jin made these remarks while attending the 'Resident Budget School' held at the district office's main conference room at 3 p.m. that day.
The district operates a 'Resident Participatory Budget System,' where residents directly participate in budgeting for local projects and policies under the basic principle of 'resident perspective policies.'
The 'Resident Budget School' is an educational program designed to enhance understanding of this system and facilitate practical participation by residents. Attendees reviewed the theory and best practices of the Resident Participatory Budget System and had time to draft project proposals themselves.
To expand opportunities for resident participation, the district conducted the program in three sessions by region, with prior sessions held in Banghwa-dong and Deungchon-dong before this day's education.
