Chosun University of Science and Technology Signs MOU for Customized Employment Services for Gwangju High School Students
Chosun University of Science and Technology has signed a business agreement for 'Customized Employment Services for High School Students' together with the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office, and 13 specialized and Meister high schools in Gwangju.
This agreement was established to provide systematic vocational education and employment counseling support to high school students in Gwangju who wish to find employment immediately after graduation, marking the first step in operating the 'Customized Employment Services for Current High School Students' in Gwangju.
The signing ceremony held at the main conference room of Chosun University of Science and Technology was attended by about 50 people, including Ko Byung-gon, head of the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office, Eun Tae-wook, superintendent of the Career and Academic Guidance Division at the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education, principals of 13 specialized and Meister high schools in Gwangju, and other officials.
Through this agreement, Chosun University of Science and Technology will provide customized employment services centered on the University Job Plus Center for students of vocational high schools such as specialized high schools and general high school youth who do not pursue higher education. Services include career counseling, establishment and management of employment activity plans, post-graduation follow-up management, vocational training to strengthen job competencies, and linkage to work experience. Specifically, the program will promote ▲ AI-based career and job exploration support ▲ personalized job portfolio design support ▲ personalized employment activity plan establishment ▲ provision of career and job experience opportunities ▲ employment support programs ▲ and preparation of long-term growth roadmaps.
The 'Customized Employment Services for High School Students' is a national policy initiative aimed at innovating youth employment policies, which have traditionally focused on corporate incentives, into service-oriented support. This initiative responds to the recent increase in youth experiencing delayed employment and concerns over the rise in long-term job seekers and youth giving up on job searching.
Earlier this year, Chosun University of Science and Technology was selected for the University Job Plus Project and was designated as the only institution in the Gwangju area to operate the 'Customized Employment Services for High School Students.' This project aims to expand various youth employment services, previously provided mainly to university students, to include current high school students. It offers systematic and customized support based on in-depth counseling tailored to each individual's employment preparation timing and level, from lower-year university students to those in their final year.
Therefore, high school students in the Gwangju area who wish to find employment after graduation can now receive active counseling and systematic support at the University Job Plus Center of Chosun University of Science and Technology.
