On the 24th, the Fire Safety Headquarters announced that about 30 students from the art club of Daejeong Middle School participated in completing a fire safety-themed mural at the Gapa and Mara boarding docks in Unjin Port, Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo City.
This campaign is part of the Jeju Fire Safety Headquarters' special spring fire safety policy this year, titled "Coloring Safety," a 119 safety mural relay project. It was organized to spread a culture of safety within the community and raise safety awareness among residents as the risk of fire increases during the spring season.
A student who participated in the campaign said, "It was an opportunity to think about the importance of fire safety," adding, "I hope the mural helps spread a culture of safety in the community and contributes to making Jeju a safer place."
Go Min-ja, Chief of the Fire Safety Headquarters, stated, "I hope this campaign involving local youth will serve as an opportunity to spread a culture of safety not only within the community but also to residents and tourists visiting Gapa-do and Mara-do." She added, "We will continue to promote various public relations activities with local residents to realize a safe Jeju that residents can truly feel."
