Jin Gyo-hoon, Gangseo District Mayor, Inspects Electrical Facilities in Homes of Elderly Living Alone
Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District, visited the site of the ‘Electric Safety Total Service’ at Gayang 7 Complex at 2:30 PM on the 23rd to conduct a direct safety inspection.
Mayor Jin visited the home of a mobility-impaired elderly living alone and installed an ‘IoT Light Switch’ controllable by remote control, checking its operational status.
The ‘Electric Safety Total Service’ is a project that conducts electrical safety inspections for vulnerable groups and replaces outdated equipment free of charge.
To this end, the district signed a ‘Business Agreement for the Prevention of Electrical Disasters for Vulnerable Groups’ with the Seoul Western Branch of the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation in March.
At the joint on-site inspection that day, about 40 employees from both organizations, including Mayor Jin, Lee Eun-seok, head of the Seoul Western Branch, participated. They conducted comprehensive electrical safety inspections for 192 households that had applied in advance and supported the replacement of outdated electrical equipment such as IoT lights and electrical switches.
