Gwangju Buk-gu and Shinhan Bank Collaborate to Strengthen Youth Financial Competency
Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, is the first local government in Gwangju to pledge mutual cooperation with Shinhan Bank to strengthen youth financial capabilities and support customized financial education for teenagers.
According to Buk-gu on the 23rd, the "Youth Financial Education Activation Business Agreement" involving ▲Buk-gu Office ▲Shinhan Bank was signed on the 12th. This agreement was established to provide education on financial knowledge necessary for youth, such as savings, consumption, credit, and allowance management, to help them form proper economic awareness.
Under this agreement, Shinhan Bank will provide customized financial education for youth free of charge, conducted by professional financial education instructors, while Buk-gu will offer continuous administrative support to activate financial education by discovering demand sources for youth financial education. In particular, Shinhan Bank plans to support teenagers' healthy financial life initiation by providing a "financial voucher (a housing subscription account with 20,000 KRW deposited)" to youth participants who wish to receive it.
