Chungnam Workation Becomes More Enriched... Craft Experiences, Traditional Liquor Making, and More
Selected for Ministry of Culture's Workation Promotion Project... Secured 380 Million KRW in National Funding
Chungnam-style workation will become even more abundant this year.
The province announced on the 23rd that it has secured 380 million KRW in national funding after being selected for the workation promotion project led by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Among 17 cities and provinces nationwide, 7 metropolitan local governments were selected in this competition. The province secured 230 million KRW in the operation support category, and Gongju City secured 150 million KRW in the basic local government category.
Including the national funding secured this time, a total of 1.43 billion KRW will be invested to promote Chungnam-style workation in eight cities and counties?Boryeong, Buyeo, Taean, Yesan, Gongju, Cheonan, Asan, and Hongseong?until the end of November. They plan to attract more than 1,500 participants, over three times more than last year.
This year’s workation will feature diverse programs such as craft experiences and traditional liquor making using Tourism Dure and Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs), as well as brewery tours.
Gongju City plans to establish a workation in the Hasuk Village and operate region-specific programs such as literature classes and explorations of Baekje food culture.
