War and AI Journalism Join Forces... World Journalists Conference from the 21st for Six Days
The 2024 World Journalists Conference, hosted by the Korea Journalists Association, will be held over six days from the 21st to the 26th. The opening ceremony and conference will take place at the President Hotel in Seoul, and programs have been arranged to visit the Demilitarized Zone, Hwaseong Haenggung Palace in Suwon, Korean Folk Village in Yongin, and various industrial facilities.
Marking its 12th edition this year, the event will have journalists from around the globe discuss their roles in promoting peace, considering the ongoing wars and conflicts worldwide. On the 22nd, the opening ceremony will feature a conference on war journalism and the role of the media in world peace, as well as the future of journalism in the AI era. Special lectures will be given by Jung Byung-won, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kwon Seong-min, CEO of Publishy, and Gil Ki-yeon, CEO of the Seoul Tourism Foundation.
From the following day, participants will visit Camp Greaves and Dorasan Observatory within the DMZ in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, as well as the Korean Folk Village. They will also experience the multicultural street in Ansan, visit the National Museum of World Writing in Incheon, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, and Samsung Biologics, engaging in interviews and Q&A sessions.
