Pukyong National University Introduces 'AI Autonomous Patrol Robot' on Campus
AI CCTV-Equipped Robot Enhances Campus Safety and Security
National Pukyong University (President Jang Young-su) announced on the 18th that it has started operating 'AI Autonomous Patrol Robots' utilizing AI (artificial intelligence) security technology to enhance campus safety.
National Pukyong University and SK Shieldus introduced two robots equipped with AI CCTV that autonomously patrol designated areas, beginning operation this month.

The AI autonomous patrol robots can distinguish between people and objects and analyze abnormal behaviors such as sudden falls. Equipped with functions such as autonomous driving day and night, real-time video reception, and voice transmission, they immediately emit warning sounds on-site or notify the control center upon recognizing emergencies to support prompt response.
The cameras installed on the robots can capture high-definition video and rotate 360 degrees, providing clear images even at night, effectively inspecting dense and blind spots that are difficult for humans to visually confirm.
Starting with the introduction of AI autonomous patrol robots, National Pukyong University plans to build an AI-based integrated security system that protects not only campus space security but also cyber environments such as network security systems by expanding AI CCTV installation in collaboration with SK Shieldus.
