Kakao Pay Integrates with Samsung Pay and Zero Pay... Targeting Offline Market
Earn 0.5% of payment amount as points... Up to 30,000P per month
Kakao Pay announced on the 17th that it will begin integration with Samsung Pay and Zero Pay.
Kakao Pay users can use Samsung Pay's Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) feature or Zero Pay QR codes within the application. Payments can also be made using Kakao Pay Money, points, and gift certificates.
With this integration, Kakao Pay claims to have secured the largest number of offline payment locations among simple payment services. Kakao Pay payment services can be used at 1 million domestic online and offline affiliated stores, as well as 3 million Samsung Pay payment locations and 1.1 million small business stores using Zero Pay.
In line with the new service offering, Kakao Pay will conduct a Kakao Pay Points (P) accumulation promotion. When paying with Kakao Pay Money in the app, users can accumulate 0.5% of the payment amount in points, up to a maximum of 30,000 P per month.

A Kakao Pay representative said, “By embracing Samsung Pay and Zero Pay, Kakao Pay users can now use Kakao Pay payment services at any offline store,” adding, “We will continue to enhance the service and pursue various collaborations to provide high versatility and differentiated benefits.”
