Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Selects 800 Participants for Youth Gap Year Program
The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is recruiting participants for the ‘Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year Program’ that supports the challenges of young people until the 26th.
The Gyeonggi Youth Gap Year Program is a flagship youth policy of the 8th local government administration. It supports projects proposed by young people related to their career paths by providing capacity-building programs, mentoring, and project funding of up to 5 million KRW per individual to help realize their ideas.
This year, Gyeonggi-do will select 800 participants, 200 more than last year (600 participants), to enhance their capabilities and provide future employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
The application eligibility includes young people aged 19 to 39 (born between 1984 and 2005) residing in Gyeonggi-do as of the announcement date. Those who have completed their military service can extend their application age by the length of their service, allowing applicants born as early as 1982 to apply.
Applicants must be able to participate in mandatory group education sessions, including ‘Exploration and Discovery,’ ‘Mid-term Evaluation,’ and ‘Challenge and Change,’ regardless of their employment or entrepreneurship status.
Eligible fields for the program include design, education, IT·SW, film·drama, music, food, travel, broadcasting, beauty·fashion, AI·robotics, social welfare, sports, environment·ecology, animals, gaming, engineering, law·investigation, medical·bio, finance, and more.

Project composition can be either team-based or individual, with team projects receiving support up to 30 million KRW.
