Changwon National University, '1000 Won Breakfast' Again This Year... '500 Won Ramen' During Exam Period Too
National Changwon University will provide 'Thousand-Won Breakfast' to students again this year.
Changwon University announced that following last year's implementation of 'Thousand-Won Breakfast' at the No. 2 Student Hall (Sarim Hall) cafeteria, it will continue to operate the program until December this year.

On weekdays, breakfast is offered from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. to 200 undergraduate and graduate students daily for 1,000 won.
Additionally, during each semester's exam period, 'Thousand-Won Breakfast' will be offered along with 'Five-Hundred-Won Ramen.'
Lee Byung-jin, chairman of the Changwon University Student Cooperative, said, “The Thousand-Won Breakfast project is expected to reduce the food expenses burden on enrolled students and help establish the habit of eating breakfast. We hope that a warm morning meal will empower students dedicated to their studies, and we will enhance student satisfaction through continuous project implementation and various student-centered support policies.”

The National Changwon University Student Cooperative has been selected as a recipient of the '2024 Thousand-Won Breakfast Project' organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Korea Agency of Education, Promotion and Information Service in Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

This project, designed to alleviate students' food expenses in an era of high prices, promote the culture of eating breakfast, and encourage rice consumption, is supported with 2,000 won from the government and 2,000 won from the Changwon University Student Cooperative.
