Changwon: 60s Captain Missing at Sea Also Found Dead at 12m Depth
Changwon Coast Guard launched an underwater search to find the missing captain.

The captain in his 60s who went missing the previous day near Jeodo, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongnam, was found dead on the 16th.
The Changwon Coast Guard announced that at around 9:27 a.m. that day, while conducting an underwater search for the missing person, they recovered Mr. A's body from the sea about 300 meters east of Jeodo.
Mr. A was found in a state of cardiac arrest at a depth of 12 meters.
Earlier, at 1:12 p.m. the previous day, the Changwon Coast Guard received a report from the captain of another fishing vessel that a 1-ton coastal gillnet fishing boat was drifting alone without any crew about 200 meters east of Jeodo.
The Coast Guard reviewed CCTV footage from nearby ports and harbors, as well as the Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) system, confirming that Mr. A had gone out alone on the boat, and conducted search operations in the surrounding waters and underwater.
The search involved four patrol vessels, one related ship, eight private marine rescue boats, and the Changwon Coast Guard rescue team.
