70-Year-Old Man Arrested for Threatening Police Officer with a Weapon
Police to Apply for Arrest Warrant Soon
A man who wielded a weapon at police officers dispatched after a report has been apprehended.
The Dongdaemun Police Station in Seoul announced on the 16th that they arrested a man in his 70s, Mr. A, on charges including obstruction of official duties and violation of the Act on the Control of Firearms, Swords, and Explosives.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of carrying a weapon in a building in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, around 8 a.m. on the 15th, and swinging the weapon about 10 times over 2 minutes toward police officers who had arrived in response to a report. No one was injured.
