View original imageA fire broke out on the first floor of a university building in Mulgeum-eup, Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam, at around 12:32 AM on the 15th.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, firefighters who responded to a report of a fire in an external recycling bin of the university research facility building extinguished the fire by 1:06 AM.
The fire damaged approximately 90㎡ of the piloti ceiling and walls on the first floor of the building, and internal furnishings were scorched, resulting in an estimated property damage of about 20 million KRW, according to the fire department.
Fifty-five students and others present at the school evacuated on their own, and there were no casualties.
The scene involved 29 firefighters, 4 police officers, and 14 pieces of firefighting equipment.
