Gwangju National Science Museum to Host 2nd Lecture of 2024 Science School Series
The National Gwangju Science Museum will hold the second science school of 2024 on the 17th at the Sang-sang Hall in the building, jointly with Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (hereinafter ‘GIST’).
This lecture, titled "Light Shorter Than the Blink of an Eye, Attosecond Pulses," will invite Professor Kim Kyung-taek from the Department of Physics and Optical Science at GIST to explore the concept of attosecond pulses and related technological advancements.
Professor Kim earned his bachelor's degree in physics from Gachon University, and his master's and doctoral degrees in physics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). After completing postdoctoral research, he is currently a professor in the Department of Physics and Optical Science at GIST. His main research areas include ultrafast optics and attosecond science.
The science school, open to everyone from children to adults free of charge, requires advance reservation through the science museum’s website for on-site admission.
