May 23, On-site Seminar for Outside Directors of Listed Companies
Samil PwC Governance Center announced on the 15th that it will hold an on-site seminar titled "Asking the Board of Directors' Path in an Era of Change" at 4:20 PM on the 23rd of next month at JW Marriott Seoul in Seocho-gu, Seoul.
This seminar was organized to discuss ways for companies to establish optimal governance following the government's announcement of the corporate value-up program. The seminar is targeted at outside directors of listed companies and will be conducted in a total of three sessions.
In the first session, Professor Kim Jong-dae of Inha University will present on "Understanding Stakeholder Capitalism and Board Response Measures from the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) Perspective." In the second session, Professor Park Kyung-seo of Korea University will share relevant implications under the theme "What Are the Problems and Improvement Tasks of Korean Corporate Boards?" In the final session, an expert group composed of speakers led by Professor Kwak Soo-geun of Seoul National University, chairman of the Samil PwC Governance Advancement Research Association, and advisory members of the Samil PwC Governance Center will conduct a Q&A session.

Jang On-gyun, head of the Governance Center who planned this seminar, said, "We plan to actively create an environment for two-way communication by accepting sufficient questions both in advance and on-site," adding, "We will prepare so that outside directors and audit committee members can share doubts and concerns they have had while working on the board and receive practical help."
